About
in a post-record hospital world, cookiecutterYEAH is a space for gathering around sound. for keeping in musical touch when we may be in out-of-touch places. for sharing those sonic experiences which remind us that music is not empty– that music echoes with life. and, at very least, for geeking out in pursuit of these goals.
please contribute however you’d like. by, for example, sharing about a band/project you just found, telling kids why you’ve been re-freaking-out-about an old band/project, reviewing a show, requesting music from the kids, offering your music to the kids, hating on the mainstream, offering up your underground manifestos, and so on and so forth. do it over the email list [cookiecutteryeah@googlegroups.com] or on the blog [here -- just sign up for a wordpress account, then email amy, gloria, rios or shirley and ask to be added as a writer].
spread the word. bring friends.

i was just wondering if you, or blog, or anything is inspired by the tokidoki (nick&nora?) song “cookie cutter” that was played on WNUR in the mid-90s. i got the 45 from an (ahem) friend and i think i am responsible for about 10 on-air requests for the song.
